Pandora is one of the most popular music streaming services you can find in the Google play store, and it’s easy to see why, not only for those who have used it since it first came out years ago.
Pandora Music Review
Pandora gives you many unique options when it comes to listening to your music. It doesn’t matter what you are in the mood to listen to; Pandora has got you covered. If you are ready to upgrade your music listening experience, then head to the play store on your device and download Pandora Music to start your jam session.
Pandora For Travel
Just one word of caution, if you’re a traveler like me really think hard before purchasing the premium subscription. Pandora is sadly only available to US customers for now, and whenever you’re outside the country Pandora will stop working and a “rather helpful” error message displayed:
This happens regardless of you paying your subscription through your US based iTunes / Google Play account. Pandora checks your IP and if it’s not a US IP you’re out of luck, and of music…
Choose How You Listen
If you are one of the original users of Pandora, then you already know when it first launched it was a free radio service. Though it still offers all the greatest music one can ask for, it has added a few features over the years.
Some people hate listening to commercials, and others don’t mind listening to a few ads here and there. No matter what your listening style is, there is a plan for you on Pandora.
If you don’t mind listening to advertisements after a few songs play, then you will have no issues with the free version of Pandora Music. However, if you want a more customizable experience with no ads, then you can choose to upgrade to one of two of the paid subscriptions that are available to users. When you pay for an enhanced version of Pandora, you don’t have to worry about listening to commercials, and you will have unlimited skips for songs as well.
The paid subscriptions for Pandora Music are well worth it because of the extra features you get. One of the subscriptions allows you to create your own playlists, which you cannot do in the other versions.
Skip What You’re Sick Of
There is nothing worse than the radio or a streaming app playing one of your favorite songs to death. If you do happen to get stuck in a musical rut when listening to Pandora Music, just click the skip button to hear the next song in the queue.
Keep in mind though, if you are using the free Pandora Music options, you will only have so many skips in a time frame before it lets you do it again. There is another option though; when a song you are sick of hearing comes on, click on the options icon on the thumbnail and select I am tired of this track, then it will put it on the shelf for a while.
Read About Your Favorite Artists
One of the most exciting features of the Pandora app is the About section. When a song comes on that you enjoy, click on the image to see more about the artist who performs it. There are times that you click on a song and the entire lyrics page pops up as well. So, if there’s a song you want to sing along with but haven’t mastered all the words yet, just click the poster to see if the lyrics are available and sing along.
Another really cool feature of the Pandora Music app is the random artist message that pops up sometimes. If your favorite band just played a song and they are going on tour in your area, you’ll receive a notification about it when you listen through Pandora Music.
You should download Pandora Music if you love listening to music, and spend most of your time in the US of A. No matter where you are, at your desk, in the car, in your kitchen, you can listen to your Pandora from any device and jam anytime you want.
Pandora is a great app and whenever I’m in the US, I’m using it quite often.
But, if you’re like me and travel, A LOT, you’ll probably better get the iTunes music subscription, which is available internationally & coincidentally also available for Android users.
If Pandora would only get their licensing sorted so I could use it while being outside the US, I would switch in a heart-beat.
